KadeFungin®3 combination pack - for infections of the vagina and external genital area
Aus der Apotheke Vor-Ort!
Indication:
The medicine contains vaginal tablets and cream. It is an antimycotic, a remedy against fungal infections (mycoses).
The medicine is used for infections of the vagina and external genital area caused by yeast fungi (mostly Candida albicans).
Explanation:
Candida albicans is a fungus that can be found on the skin and, in many women, in the vagina. Only when it multiplies too much does a fungal infection (mycosis) develop, which usually manifests itself in redness, burning, itching, discharge and painful inflammation. A reliable diagnosis can only be made by a gynecologist.
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as directed. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
Usually 1 vaginal tablet (200 mg clotrimazole) is used once daily.
The cream is usually applied three times a day. The amount depends on the size of the skin areas to be treated.
Duration of application:
The doctor decides on the duration of treatment depending on the extent and location of the disease. It is important for success that the treatment is used for a sufficiently long period of time. In general, one treatment on 3 consecutive days is sufficient. If necessary, a second treatment can be carried out for a further 3 days on the doctor's instructions. Please adhere to the recommended treatment duration even if you feel better earlier!
If you use more of this medicine than you should:
If used as directed, no overdoses or poisoning are to be expected. If the medicine is taken in large quantities, e.g. by children, no serious symptoms of poisoning are to be expected. However, symptoms such as stomach pain and nausea may occur. To be on the safe side, the doctor should be informed. If you accidentally insert more than 1 vaginal tablet when using the medicine or apply the cream more frequently, no serious side effects are to be expected. In this case, reduce the use to the prescribed dose in consultation with your doctor and otherwise stick to the treatment plan.
If you forget to use this medicine:
If you forget to use a scheduled treatment once, only use the prescribed dose the next time. If you forget to use it several times, please talk to your doctor about whether you need to extend the duration of treatment.
If you stop using the medicine:
Please discuss the next steps with your doctor, as in this case the success of the treatment may be at risk.
Way:
The vaginal tablets are inserted in the evening before going to bed. This is best done lying on your back with your legs slightly pulled up.
The cream is applied thinly with the finger to the external genitals up to the anus.
