1. WHAT IS BEPANTHEN® WOUND AND HEALING OINTMENT AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Bepanthen® wound and healing ointment is a product that supports wound healing. It is used to support healing in cases of minor superficial skin and mucous membrane damage, as well as in cases of scaly, cracked skin.

2. WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE USING BEPANTHEN® WOUND AND HEALING OINTMENT?
- Bepanthen® wound and healing ointment must not be used if you have already had a hypersensitive reaction to any of the ingredients of the medicine.
- No special precautions are necessary if the medicine is used as directed.
- No interactions with other medicines are known.

Special instructions:
- When used in the genital or anal area, the excipient white Vaseline may reduce the tear resistance and impair the safety of the condom when used in conjunction with latex condoms.

- Bepanthen® wound and healing ointment can be used without restrictions during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

- No special precautions are necessary regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

- Lanolin, stearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol, which are included as ingredients, can cause local skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).

3. HOW TO USE BEPANTHEN® WOUND AND HEALING OINTMENT?
- Apply a thin layer of Bepanthen® wound and healing ointment to the affected skin areas once or several times a day.
- The duration of treatment depends on the type and progression of the disease. If you are unsure, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?
As with all medicines, side effects can occur when using Bepanthen® wound and healing ointment. However, not everyone experiences them. Possible side effects can include:
- In rare cases, intolerance reactions in the form of contact allergies may occur.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice other side effects not listed here.

5. HOW SHOULD BEPANTHEN® WOUND AND HEALING OINTMENT BE STORED?
- Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
- Use the medicine according to the instructions on the tube fold

and the expiry date stated on the carton.
- Do not store the medicine above 25°C.

Note on shelf life after opening:
- Once opened, Bepanthen® wound and healing ointment has a shelf life of 3 months. Do not use the medicine after this date.

6. FURTHER INFORMATION
- Active ingredient: dexpanthenol (1g ointment contains 0.05g dexpanthenol).
- Other ingredients: Bleached wax, thick paraffin, thin paraffin, white petrolatum, ceresin, glycerol monooleate (veg.), wool wax alcohol mixture (Protegin X), purified water, cetyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), almond oil, stearyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), wool wax.
