BUSCOPAN PLUS with paracetamol - for period pain

Buscopan® PLUS is a medication for relieving abdominal pain and cramps. It combines the antispasmodic active ingredient butylscopolamine with the pain-relieving active ingredient paracetamol. This combination provides a double effect by not only relieving muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, but also reducing the perception of pain.

Abdominal pain and cramps often occur when the muscles in the abdomen become tense and cannot relax on their own. Buscopan® PLUS specifically targets these muscles in the abdominal area and relaxes them, relieving the associated pain. By reducing muscle spasms and reducing the perception of pain, Buscopan® PLUS provides effective relief.

While painkillers can have a general effect on pain perception throughout the body by blocking pain signals, painkillers alone simply mask the pain without treating the underlying cause. The combination of butylscopolamine and paracetamol in Buscopan® PLUS acts specifically in the abdominal area where the pain occurs. Butylscopolamine relieves the muscle spasm in the abdomen and paracetamol has a pain-relieving effect. Buscopan® PLUS therefore works exactly where it is needed and is well tolerated.

Thanks to the paracetamol it contains, Buscopan® PLUS is effective against various types of pain, such as period pain. Because it is well tolerated by the stomach and intestines, Buscopan® PLUS can be taken during any menstrual period if necessary.

Buscopan® PLUS can also be helpful in cases of cystitis. An acute, uncomplicated cystitis is often accompanied by severe pain, cramps in the lower abdomen and pain when urinating. With its composition, Buscopan® PLUS relieves these symptoms. It relieves the cramps, reduces the burning sensation when urinating and relieves the pain - whether you are on the go or at home.

Abdominal pain and cramps can also occur as a result of gastrointestinal diseases, an unbalanced diet or the consumption of spicy or fatty foods. This often involves muscle cramps in the gastrointestinal tract, which can feel like a "knot in the stomach". Buscopan® PLUS loosens this "knot" by displacing excess messenger substances in the muscles of the gastrointestinal tract.
