Diclofenac STADA ^® forte relieves pain. Diclofenac STADA ^® pain gel forte has twice the concentration of the pain-relieving active ingredient diclofenac and enables a long-lasting release of the active ingredient in the tissue.

Diclofenac STADA ^® also offers effective treatment for acute strains, sprains or bruises. The pain gel acts specifically on the areas where the pain occurs.

type of application

Diclofenac STADA ^® forte is only intended for use on the skin. Apply a thin layer of Diclofenac STADA ^® forte to the affected areas of the body and rub it gently into the skin. It should not be rubbed in with pressure. Hands should then be wiped on a paper towel and then washed, unless these are the areas to be treated.

The paper towel should be disposed of in the general waste. Before applying a bandage, Diclofenac STADA ^® forte should be allowed to dry on the skin for a few minutes. Also wait until the gel has dried on the skin before showering or bathing.

Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over
Diclofenac STADA ^® forte should be applied twice daily (preferably morning and evening). Depending on the size of the affected area to be treated, a cherry- to walnut-sized amount, corresponding to 1 to 4 g of gel, is required.

The maximum total daily dose is 8 g of gel.

Elderly patients
No special dosage adjustment is necessary. If you are elderly, you should pay particular attention to side effects and, if necessary, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Impaired kidney or liver function
No dose reduction is necessary.

Use in children and adolescents (under 14 years)
Diclofenac STADA ^® forte must not be used in children and adolescents under 14 years of age.

Duration of application

The duration of use depends on the symptoms and the underlying disease. Diclofenac STADA ^® forte should not be used for longer than 7 days without medical advice. Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3-5 days.

How is Diclofenac STADA ^® forte and what packages are available?

The active ingredient is: diclofenac.
1 g gel contains 23.2 mg diclofenac-N-ethylethanamine, equivalent to 20 mg diclofenac sodium.

The other ingredients are:
Propylene glycol (E 1520), oleyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), 2-propanol (Ph. Eur.), butylhydroxytoluene (Ph. Eur.) (E 321), N-ethylethanamine, liquid paraffin, macrogol cetyl stearyl ether (Ph. Eur.), carbomer 980, cocoyl caprylocaprate (Ph. Eur.), perfume cream (contains eugenol and citral), purified water.

white gel.

Diclofenac STADA ^® Schmerzgel forte 20 mg/g gel is packaged in laminated aluminum tubes closed with a sealing membrane and a polypropylene screw cap.

Diclofenac STADA ^® Schmerzgel forte 20 mg/g gel is available in packs of 30 g, 100 g, 150 g and 180 g gel.

pregnancy
During the first 6 months of pregnancy, Diclofenac STADA ^® forte should only be used after consulting a doctor.

You must not use Diclofenac STADA ^® forte in the last 3 months of pregnancy , as an increased risk of complications for mother and child cannot be ruled out.

Breastfeeding
Diclofenac passes into breast milk in small amounts. Diclofenac STADA ^® forte should only be used during breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.

Do not use Diclofenac STADA ^® forte on the chest area or elsewhere on large areas of skin or for a long period of time.
