Iberogast® Classic is a herbal preparation for the treatment of motility-related and functional gastrointestinal complaints. It offers a comprehensive effect because it acts simultaneously on several sites in the digestive tract. It is fast and effective.
The unique combination of 9 medicinal plant extracts in Iberogast® Classic contains a higher proportion of extracts with motility-regulating properties. It is approved for children from 3 years of age and has been used successfully for over 60 years by more than 100 million people worldwide.
Iberogast® Classic relieves acute functional and motility-related gastrointestinal complaints such as stomach pain, feeling of fullness, abdominal cramps, flatulence, heartburn and nausea. It regulates motility, relieves pain, antispasmodics, inhibits acid production and relieves flatulence. It can also be used for acute inflammation of the gastric mucosa (acute gastritis).
The recommended dosage for Iberogast® Classic is 10 drops three times a day for children between 3 and 5 years of age, 15 drops for children between 6 and 12 years of age and 20 drops for adolescents from 13 years of age and adults. The drops are taken with liquid before or with meals.
The amount of alcohol contained in Iberogast® Classic is small and serves to dissolve and preserve the ingredients. Once the bottle has been opened, the product can be stored for up to eight weeks. However, in the event of an accidental overdose, a doctor or pharmacist should be notified.
The 9 medicinal plant extracts in Iberogast® Classic are Iberis Amara, angelica root, chamomile flowers, caraway fruits, milk thistle fruits, lemon balm leaves, peppermint leaves, celandine and liquorice root. They work together to normalize the movement of the gastrointestinal muscles and relieve various functional gastrointestinal complaints.

- 0.1 ml lemon balm leaf fluid extract (1:2.5-3.5); extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (V/V)
- 0.05 ml peppermint leaf fluid extract (1:2.5-3.5); extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (V/V)
- 0.1 ml angelica root fluid extract (1:2.5-3.5); extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (V/V)
- 0.1 ml celandine fluid extract (1:2.5-3.5); extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (V/V)
- 0.1 ml milk thistle fruit fluid extract (1:2.5-3.5); extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (V/V)
