It doesn't take much: sick colleagues or fellow passengers on the train or bus - and you've caught a cold yourself. The first signs of a cold usually become apparent with a sudden urge to sneeze, a blocked or tingling nose and immediate fatigue.
Especially when you have a cold with a runny nose, restful sleep and plenty of rest are the best medicine. But with a blocked nose, it can sometimes be difficult to fall asleep or sleep through the night. Quick relief can be achieved by temporarily using a decongestant nasal spray. Used in the evening, the spray helps you breathe through your nose and sleep better. During the day, the nasal spray clears your nose and drains secretions. The ratiopharm cold spray does not contain any harmful preservatives. It has a shelf life of up to 6 months after opening. But sleep is particularly disturbed by a blocked or runny nose.

In this case, the temporary use of nasal spray brings quick relief. In the evening it helps you to have a restful night and during the day the spray makes it easier to breathe freely and drain secretions in the case of sinusitis.

It can also be used for catarrh of the middle ear in conjunction with a cold. The risk of an infection spreading further can be reduced.

Application:
NasenSpray-ratiopharm® is used

• to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa (short-term treatment) in the case of a cold, a runny nose that occurs in fits and starts (vasomotor rhinitis) or an allergic rhinitis (allergic rhinitis)
• to facilitate the drainage of secretions in cases of inflammation of the paranasal sinuses and in cases of catarrh of the middle ear in conjunction with a cold.

NasenSpray-ratiopharm® is intended for adults and school children.

NasenSpray-ratiopharm® Adults must not be used

• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients of NasenSpray-ratiopharm®.
• if you suffer from a certain form of chronic rhinitis (rhinitis sicca, dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa with crust formation).
• after surgical removal of the pineal gland through the nose (transsphenoidal hypophysectomy) or other surgical procedures that expose the meninges.
• in infants, toddlers and children under 6 years of age.

Allergy advice:
NasenSpray-ratiopharm® must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients of NasenSpray-ratiopharm®.

Composition:
The active ingredient is xylometazoline hydrochloride. 1 spray (equivalent to 0.09 ml solution) contains 0.09 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride.

The other ingredients are: citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate 2 H(2)O, glycerol 85%, purified water.

A notice:
Do not use the nasal spray after the expiry date stated on the carton and bottle label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month. Once opened, NasenSpray-ratiopharm® should not be used for longer than 6 months.

Active ingredients

Excipients
